Welcome Rachel Rivera to the LAB

Where are you originally from? I am originally from Houston, TX. Fort Worth is better!

How did you come across enduraLAB? A friend of mine mentioned it and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to be a part of this community! 

Current fitness goals. My current fitness goals are training for a baby birthing marathon in August! We’re expecting our 3rd child and this is my first time working out while pregnant, so I’m taking it day by day and working on staying active while keeping this baby safe and sound. 

Current entertainment binge? I just ordered “Real Food for Pregnancy” by Lily Nichols and I’m excited to dive into it. I’m always binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy, this is my second time watching all the seasons from the beginning (16 seasons!). 

Inspiration. I am constantly inspired by my husband, Amos. He is probably the busiest person I know, but you wouldn’t know it because he always puts people first. He loves everyone with his whole being and he’s always ready to serve you regardless of what the need is. He’s also amazingly creative and talented and the things he creates is always mind blowing, whether it’s through music or art, he is amazing! 

What qualifications do you bring to the gym community? I believe I bring knowledge AND experience to the gym community. It’s one thing to know something but it’s another thing to know something and have experienced it firsthand. I didn’t grow up healthy and active but throughout the years I’ve really made it a priority in my life. I’ve pursued certifications to gain knowledge, but I’ve also experienced what it’s like to be brand new at living a healthy lifestyle. 

Next restaurant you want to try? I really want to try Coco Shrimp! Looks so good! 

Favorite workouts? My favorite workouts are anything with a barbell (power cleans, push jerks, thrusters, snatch, etc). Give me some heavy weights and I’m a happy girl!

Favorite workout song? I don’t have a favorite song, but I love listening to some 90's hip hop while working out! 

What are two things on your bucket list? I’d love to visit New Zealand, my mom and stepdad currently live there and they talk about how beautiful it is all the time! I’d also love to visit Greece one day! 

Is there anything else you want the LAB community to know about you? I’m all about living a healthy and active lifestyle, but I won’t lie my favorite treat is Little Caesars Pizza. My husband thinks it’s gross, but it seriously is my favorite. Don’t judge me!
