I’ve been practicing massage for 25 years. I’ve worked on many athletes including Amy Okonkwo, Matt Belisle, Leonard Scott, Jayson Nix, the choreographer to Cher and Professional Bull Rider Chase Wimer.
I received my license to practice massage therapy in 1997, graduating with Honors. While I was doing my internship, I worked under a Doctor’s license, In 2017, I received my Certification in Pediatric Massage Therapy.
I was a professional dancer, classically trained, for many years. While training and performing in NYC, I received my first massage. It was then that I realized I wanted to pursue massage therapy as a profession, because I witnessed, firsthand, the incredible benefits of massage. It kept my body healthy and minimized any strains the rigorous dance profession had on my body.
A few months after performing at the 1996 Olympiad Arts Festival in Atlanta, GA, during a rehearsal, I fell from a lift, causing me to take a year off from dance. That’s when I went to massage school. In the Summer of 2017, I flew my family and myself to California to receive a Certification in Pediatric Massage, and in October, I was offered a job at Cook Children’s Medical Center.
It has always been my passion to help others of all ages. My youngest patient I have massages was 3 weeks old, and my oldest client was 90 years old. It brings me joy knowing I can help someone with pain relief.
