You'll learn how to optimize your running mechanics to increase efficiency, improve performance and reduce your risk of injury. Learn and practice skills and drills to continue to reinforce proper running form and the technique and discuss how to choose a running shoe.

Saturday Clinic: Optimize Your Workout with Steel Mace

You’ve likely seen Coach Roman working with a Steel Mace between personal training sessions and thought, man that guy is a badass. You might also be wondering, what exactly are the benefits of using this unconventional strength tool?

The Steel Mace is a very effective method to train and condition your whole body while mimicking real world movement. Learn the history of the Steel Mace, technique, safety, and huge benefits of Steel Mace training with Coach Roman at 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 4. During this one-hour session, you can expect to learn the four basic movements of the Steel Mace including the squat, hinge, push and pull. This will be an active clinic, so come ready to move. The clinic will last approximately one-hour and is free to Premium Members. The cost is $15 for non-premium members.

Pull Up Clinic w/ Coach Chris

Join Coach Chris for a Pull Up Progression Clinic at 8:00 AM on Saturday, April 27. This clinic is open to all skill levels, whether you can jump on the bar and knock out 15-20 pull ups or can’t find enough bands to get you through the workout on the board.

Participants will learn the techniques and drills needed to master strict pull ups without the use of bands. The course will cover mobility, proper form and safe kipping practices. You’ll also leave with a plan on how to continue to improve on your own. If time allows, advanced athletes will be led through the proper muscle up technique.

The cost of the clinic is free to Premium Members and $15 for all others.

Indoor Rowing Clinic w/ Coach Lee

Rowing is one of the top low-impact calorie burning exercises of all time. Utilizing over 80% of the body's musculature, a 60-minute session can easily burn 400-800 calories. However, mastering the rowing machine properly requires a bit of a learning curve. Don't you think it's time to discover the power of the erg?

Elements covered in the clinic include:

  • Proper technique and drills for optimal rowing performance.

  • Using the rowing/skiing machine to reach peak performance faster.

The clinic is scheduled for one hour and includes lecture, individualized coaching on your rowing technique, workouts and skills drills you can utilize to help you reach your goals. Participants will need to dress in athletic clothing appropriate for the workout.
