GORUCK STAR COURSE TRAINING PROGRAM

Ruck Dallas. That's right, enduraLAB is excited to announce an official training program for the GORUCK Star Course in Dallas. There are no push-ups or smoke sessions, that’s not this event. It's just you, your rucksack, your team and the miles. And it’s not to be underestimated. While these events have a 50% drop rate or higher. enduraLAB athletes have a pass rate of 100%. Take the challenge with us! 

Those who successfully pass will earn the Star Course patch.

  • Early Registration for the Dallas event ends August 12 (link to registration)

  • Must register as a team of 2-5 individuals

  • 3 Dallas Event Distances: 50-Mile, 26-Mile, 12-Mile

  • enduraLAB Training Program Start Date: 50-Mile - 6/8, 26-Mile - 7/6

The Dash + Dine Fun Run/Walk is geared towards all paces. We will leave from enduraLAB and enjoy a social 3.5 mile run together to Righteous Foods. We'll wrap up the evening with a stylish ride back to the LAB thanks to our friends from the Hiley Automotive Group.

USAW Level 1 Coaches Course

USA Weightlifting Level 1

Course Description: In this two-day course, participants will gain practical information from top-level coaches about weightlifting technique, assessing movement, motor learning, biomechanics, effective coaching, and programming training. In addition to covering scientifically based concepts to optimize training and skill learning, a large portion of the course will be hands-on teaching and application of the complete technical progressions of the snatch, clean and jerk, and assistance lifts. Learn highly effective coaching tips and cues from our veteran weightlifting coaches, who will help you safely and effectively implement Olympic lifting movements in training weightlifters, clients, and athletes of all ages and abilities. This course balances hands-on learning, in-depth discussions of technical progressions, and science-based programming information. Gain access to proven training plans to get your athletes or clients started with Olympic lifting and enjoy the support of USAW to help you further your knowledge about training and coaching athletes. At the end of the course, participants should feel comfortable understanding and implementing a training plan, teaching beginner and intermediate athletes how to perform weightlifting movements, quickly correcting common technique errors, and employing best practices in coaching. Whether you are looking to get started coaching weightlifting, refine your coaching skills, or apply the weightlifting movements to other sports, this course is a valuable investment in your career.

Course Materials:
Extensive course manual with videos of all exercise progressions, helpful resources, and sample weightlifting programming.

Prerequisites:
Other than an active USA Weightlifting membership, there are no prerequisites for this course. The course is open to anyone 17 or older, and no prior experience coaching or performing Olympic lifting is required.

CEUs/CECs:
This course has a total of 13 contact hours and is eligible for CEUs and CECs through a variety of professional organizations. For exact reporting requirements, please see our FAQs here

Day 1: 8:00am-5:00pm, and Day 2: 8:00am to 2:00pm

Requirements for Certification:
In compliance with our USOC accreditation, both the free online Athlete Development Model training module and online course certification exam are required to receive your USAW Level 1 Coach certification. For more information about the certification process, please visit our FAQs here.

All course participants must be current USAW members.
Pre-registration is required for all courses. On-site registration is not allowed.
The registration deadline is 3 business days prior to the first day of the course.
Registration costs are non-refundable. In the rare event a course is cancelled, USA Weightlifting is not responsible for any pre-paid expenses incurred by participant. A refund or transfer to another offering is available under this circumstance.

2019 enduraLAB Memorial Day Murph

The Murph workout was created in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. This workout was based on one of Mike's favorites, Body Armor. We will honor a focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

For time:

1-Mile Run

100x Pull Up

200x Push Up

300x Air Squat

1-Mile Run

*Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you've got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

WORKOUT WAVES:

Wave #1 @ 8:00 AM: This is for those of you who want to take the full challenge and complete the full workout (no modifications) with or without a 20-pound vest or body armor.

Wave #2 @ 9:30 AM : Complete the workout unweighted. You can modify the pull ups with jumping pull ups or bands, push ups by box push ups.

Wave #3 @ 10:30 AM: You and up to 3 of your friends complete the workout unweighted. You'll start and end the workout with a 400-meter relay and divide the push ups, pull ups and air squats as needed.

Wave #4 @10:30 AM: Mini-Murph event. Kids ages 5-14 are invited to participate in this scaled event.

  • Kids ages 5-9: 400-meter run, 25 Pull-ups, 50 Push-ups, 75 Squats and 400 meter run

  • Kids ages 10-14: 800-meter run, 25 Pull-ups, 50 Push-ups, 75 Squats and 800 meter run

Saturday Clinic: Optimize Your Workout with Steel Mace

You’ve likely seen Coach Roman working with a Steel Mace between personal training sessions and thought, man that guy is a badass. You might also be wondering, what exactly are the benefits of using this unconventional strength tool?

The Steel Mace is a very effective method to train and condition your whole body while mimicking real world movement. Learn the history of the Steel Mace, technique, safety, and huge benefits of Steel Mace training with Coach Roman at 8:00 AM on Saturday, May 4. During this one-hour session, you can expect to learn the four basic movements of the Steel Mace including the squat, hinge, push and pull. This will be an active clinic, so come ready to move. The clinic will last approximately one-hour and is free to Premium Members. The cost is $15 for non-premium members.
