1100+ pound total Multiple 10ks and one half-marathon
I grew up in a small town in northern New Jersey and spent a lot of my childhood either out in nature - hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, etc. - or playing sports such as baseball, football, and martial arts. I have been passionate (sometimes obsessed) about exercise and weightlifting since I was in high school and decided to take a full plunge into this world after I moved to Texas in 2022. Outside of the LAB, I am currently working in Property Management for Commercial Real Estate. I like to spend my free time outdoors or at the gym, and I am always looking for a new travel adventure!
I found myself getting very overweight in high school which caused a lot of self-esteem issues. Going into my senior year, I weighed roughly 235 pounds. I remember sitting on the bus one day and feeling very down, somewhat depressed, and almost sorry for myself about the way I looked and the way I felt. That bus ride was a pivotal moment for me, and that is when I made the decision to turn my life around. I started to take my nutrition very seriously and I began going to the gym every day with one of my friends who was a wrestler and was into bodybuilding at the time. He taught me everything he knew and I quickly became hooked. That year, I graduated high school at 175 pounds - down 60 pounds from the start. It has been a long journey since then and I have learned a lot, but this is an ever-evolving game and there’s always more to learn. Fitness is something that will be a part of my life for as long as I am around- I am sure of it.
My passion is to guide athletes toward achieving their highest potential, both physically and mentally. Fitness has transformed my life in so many ways, both in and out of the gym, and my goal is to help others realize the amazing benefits that a healthy lifestyle has to offer.
