The Secret to your Spring Break Workout

Spring Break is here! This means a lot of traveling, so you most likely won’t be in the gym for that 5 a.m. class. The good news is that you can take enduraLAB with you wherever you may go. You’ll have access to everything via SugarWOD: Strength programming, Run and Ruck, Mobility, and Online Dumbbell. 

Most hotels and resorts come equipped with a gym so you have everything you need for your S+C workout. If you are limited to a set of dumbbells, we have 4 online dumbbell classes per week that you can check out on SugarWOD. Don’t sleep on the online dumbbell workouts… they’re tough!  If you don’t have any equipment at all, a bodyweight workout can be just as effective as anything else. Did someone say burpees?! Remember, you can make any workout work, with a fancy gym set up, dumbbells, or just you!

Were you thinking about taking a break from the whole fitness thing for the week? We have a few reasons to keep your routine, even when your day to day is a little different.

No Need to Reset

You know how hard it is to get back into the groove at the gym when you miss a few days. Ouch. By continuing your usual pattern of activity, you will be able to jump back into your normal routine when you return home.

It Will Make You Feel Better

Have you had your Apple Watch or activity tracker basically yell at you to “stand up” or “be active” when you go on vacation? No one likes that kind of notification. But, Siri is on to something. Sitting around for too long over so many days is not good for you. Standing up and moving will make you feel better, both mentally and physically. 

It Can Relieve Stress

We know, vacation is a time to destress, but it doesn’t always happen that way. If you’re feeling stressed about being away from work or stress from being around your family 24/7 (😉), then take the time to workout. It is a great excuse to spend half an hour alone and will help you work out some of that energy. 

You Love to Workout

Some people just really love to workout. If it is something you look forward to everyday, then get to it! Don’t feel like you have to take a rest day just because you’re on vacation. Do what makes you happy!

Here are a few tips…

Plan ahead! Build that time into your day so you can get it done without using up too much of that precious vacation time.

Be realistic. Don’t take too much time away from your family and friends. You want to enjoy your time away!

Plus, activity can be anything… from a strength workout with enduraLAB to skiing all day or taking a walk on the beach. Don’t forget about all the ways you can be active without lifting weights! 

Of course, if you want to take a week off, thats okay too. Sometimes we need some time to rest and reset. Don’t worry, we’ll be right here when you get back.
