The spring time is busy, which means less time dedicated to food prep and cooking. The good news it that you don’t have to spend hours in the kitchen to make a delicious meal.
Pasta gets a bad rep. While pasta may have more carbs than some other things, you need carbs to fuel your body. When you combine carbs, proteins, and fats in one meal, it’s the perfect balance. This week’s recipe is Tortellini with Sausage. This recipe is quick and easy, making it a perfect weeknight dinner. Check out the details below.
Fresh or frozen tortellini
3 cups of fresh spinach
Package of Italian sausage or any ground meat
3 cups of beef broth
1.5 tsp. Onion powder
1.5 tsp. Garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
- Brown meat in Dutch oven. Add onion powder and garlic powder.
- Add 3 cups of beef broth and tortellini to the pot. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add spinach and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
