Recipe: Bagel Bites

One of my favorite breakfast foods is a good bagel. Unfortunately, a lot of store bought bagels are full of things that we don’t like to read on the nutrition label. Lucky for you, we have a simplified version so you can make your very own fresh bagels at home! The best part is that it only requires 4 ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen, and the process is super simple. Check out the details below:

Ingredients:

1 cup Whole Wheat Flour (or any flour you use)

1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt

1/2 tsp Salt

2 tsp Baking Powder

Instructions:

Add 1 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt in a mixing bowl. Fold in 1 cup of plain greek yogurt until combined as much as possible. Use your hands to roll the dough into a doughy consistency. If it is too dry, add 1 tbsp of yogurt. If it is too sticky, add 1 tbsp of flour. Divide dough into smaller pieces and place on a cookie sheet. Brush the top with egg wash, butter, or spray with cooking spray and season with EBTB seasoning. Bake at 375F for 15-17 minutes until cooked through. Serve immediately or let cool and store in an airtight container.

This recipe is SO simple and so versatile. You can make the dough into bites or actual bagel shapes. You can also experiment with different flavored yogurts or add fruit into the dough. My favorite way to eat them fresh out of the oven with cream cheese- plain or strawberry!. The possibilities and flavoring options are endless. Try this recipe at home and let us know how it goes! They’re addicting!
