What brought you to enduraLAB? I knew I wanted to get back into a workout routine and focus on taking care of myself. After visiting a few other places and trying different programs, it was the sense of community and dedication of the coaches at enduraLAB that helped me choose to call this place my gym home.
What did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB? It was mostly a focus on hot yoga and running.
What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB? Well, I get up early now to work out (most days); and I've started making nutrition a priority. I kind of strayed for a bit.
Tell us what you do outside of the LAB? In my work life, I'm a real estate escrow officer which is time consuming; but when I have free time, you can usually find me taking my younger dogs (I have 4) hiking or to a dog park.
How have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB? Brag a little. I've definitely seen a growth in my strength and stamina. The majority of my strength is in my legs! But I think the biggest growth has been mentally. I'm no longer telling myself I can't do this or talk myself out of trying a new routine. I've realized that I won't be the best right away but that I have to work to get better and plan to do so.
What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months? I want to be more consistent with my workouts in the next 6 months; and maybe even learn to like the row machine :)
What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program? So far it’s Ruck! I've started doing this outside of the gym about once a week. I can already feel the difference it has made in other areas of my fitness.
What advice would you have for a new person starting at enduraLAB? Don't be afraid to start something new! Ask for help and guidance and know that everyone in that gym has been where you are. I've felt nothing but support since joining.
Favorite cheat meal/restaurant in D/FW? Anything tacos and chips and salsa. Hints why I couldn't miss the Taco Ruck haha!
Current read / podcast? Currently reading The Frankenstein series by Dean Koontz. I tend to lean towards mystery, Sci-Fi stories.
Pump up song? I'll stick with my answer from the Summer Shred: Marilyn Manson "The Beautiful People''
