Meet Renata Lopez, February Member of the Month

Renata wanted to step up her exercise routine when she set out to find a new gym. She came to enduraLAB for a consultation and was SOLD. Since joining the LAB, she has seen increases in her strength and even started eating a litter healthier. Overall, she loves breaking a sweat with the enduraLAB community.

What brought you to enduraLAB?

I was looking for a more dynamic workout. I searched for gyms close to my house and was lucky to cross paths with enduraLAB!

What did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB?

I exercised regularly at a gym. But, there wasn't a routine, I basically did whatever came to mind.

What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB?

Definitely started eating a bit healthier by cutting back on my chip and chocolate addiction.

Tell us what you do outside of the LAB?

Besides work, I spent most of the time out with my friend grabbing some drinks or finding places to eat at. If I am not doing that, then I am most likely doing homework.

How have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB? Brag a little.

Well, I am definitely more consistent with my workouts. I have broken a few of the little goals that I had set up for myself (aka 1 pull up- this was major lol). In general though, I have seen how I have progressed in the workouts and in specific movements.

What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months?

I would love to be able to do 5+ pull ups, and also to break some squat PRs!

What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program?

Buds and Suds was a fun one, who doesn't like a beer after a workout.

What advice would you have for a new person starting at enduraLAB?

I would say, try your best at the workouts and enjoy breaking some sweat.

Favorite cheat meal/restaurant in D/FW?

I love pho and sushi. Shinjuku station or pho district are delicious.

Current read / podcast?

Currently reading The Supermarket by Bobby Hall and for any Spanish speakers, La Cotorrisa is my current and favorite podcast.

Pump up song?

I have many pump songs, right now though, Miami by Baxter Dury, is the one.
