What brought you to enduraLAB?
My husband, Josh, wanted to try a different gym when they started opening back up after the shut down and I tagged along.  I never wanted to do group classes or CrossFit style workouts, but enduraLAB has changed my workout style and I love it.

What did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB? Before joining the LAB, I was rotating through different 5 day splits (ex. 3 lower body/ 2 upper body) every 3 months and cardio 3 days a week.

What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB? I have made more of a commitment to healthy eating. I meal prep during the week and usually have a special meal or two on the weekend. I also drink at least 64 oz of water a day and try to get 7/8 hours of sleep.

Tell us what you do outside of the LAB? I have been a nurse for 3 and a half years and just started a new specialty in labor & delivery.  Josh and I love spending time with family and seeing our 2 beautiful nieces.  I enjoy watching sports, so every Saturday I have off in the fall you can find me watching college football.

How have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB? Brag a little. My max weight has increased in squat, deadlift and bench. I think I have been doing better in the endurance style workouts as well (although I still hate any workout that has running).

What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next six months? I want to increase my maxes on squat and deadlift. I also want to be able to do 10 pull ups unbroken.

What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program? So far it has been Night of the Living Deadlift.  It was a great environment and pushed so many people to breaking personal records. I can’t wait for next year!

What advice would you have for a new person starting at the LAB?
Don’t be intimidated by the workout style.  If you approach the harder workouts with an optimistic attitude you will end up surprising yourself with what you can do.

Favorite cheat meal/restaurant in DFW? Tough question, I love pizza and anywhere with a good chicken quesadilla and margarita (Pappasito’s is one of the best)

Current read/podcast? Anything true crime! I always listen to Crime Junkie and Sword & Scale.

Pump up song? Sinner- Memphis May Fire and Body Bag- MGK
