Since joining enduraLAB, Matt has relished the opportunity to train alongside like-minded individuals, forming valuable friendships in the process. Through his commitment to consistency, he has achieved significant healthy changes, and he's determined to overcome shoulder and neck issues to regain his full potential. Keep reading to learn more fun facts about Matt like his favorite enduraLAB event and the workout he would design in his honor.

What brought you to enduraLAB and what did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB?

The community. I really enjoy working out with friends, and before enduraLAB I was a member at a CrossFit gym for many years. Injuries and a move got me away from that and into swimming. Still love swimming, but it can get lonely. I’ve enjoyed getting to know and train along with everyone at the LAB.

What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB?

Consistency. Even if I don’t make it to the gym I’ve been better about getting up and moving every day.

Tell us what you do outside of the LAB and how have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB?

I’m the creative director and co-owner at Elastick; a creative services agency that I also founded in 2010.

What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months?

Hope to rehab a shoulder and neck issue so that I can get back to full speed.

What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program?

I enjoyed the overhead squat block from a while back.

What advice would you have for a new person starting at enduraLAB?

Have fun, focus on your form, and increase your shoe budget.

If we had a workout in honor of you, what would it be called and what would it consist of?

At my old gym we had one called “Dead Doane” with a lot of running and heavy kettlebell swings. These days I’d want more power cleans. I always liked The Chief. Bummed I missed it recently!
