Meet Kate Peterson, July Member of the Month
Kate sells dream houses to her clients and just like she checks all their boxes, she knows how to check hers as well! She had done many other modes of exercise, but wanted something more. Since becoming a member at enduraLAB, she has increased her confidence, gotten stronger and is having fun while doing it! Her favorite program has been Buns n Guns with Coach Isis and if she could create her own workout, it would consist of squats on squats. What brought you to enduraLAB? I was searching for a gym that provided variation in workout programming, smaller class sizes, strength and conditioning, and a great environment! The LAB obviously checked all the boxes!

What did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB? Previously, I attended spin classes, Pilates classes, and ran outdoors occasionally. 

What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB? I've established a consistent workout routine that feels integrated into my weekly schedule and feels sustainable over the long term. It's been SO positive for both my physical strength and my mental health. Overall, I'm a healthier and happier human!

Tell us what you do outside of the LAB? Professionally, I sell real estate for a new construction home builder in Aledo. For fun, I walk my puppy Jolie, spend time with my friends, and travel as much as I can.

How have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB? Brag a little. I am so much more confident in the gym! I went from being very unsure of what I was doing, to feeling pretty confident in every workout.  It's amazing how the confidence you build in the LAB translates into real life. If I can get through the workout, I can get through anything life throws my way during the day! 

What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months? To run a mile in under 7 minutes and deadlift 200 pounds. 

What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program? I loved Buns & Guns with Coach Isis and enjoyed meeting other ladies in the gym! 

What advice would you have for a new person starting at enduraLAB? Just say YES! Show up, ask questions, and jump in, even when you have no idea what you are doing! The Elements program was SO helpful for me and building basic skills prior to attending group classes!  

If we had a workout in honor of you, what would it be called and what would it consist of? Squats, squats, and more squats! 

Favorite treat meal/restaurant in D/FW? Melt! 

Current read / podcast? Atomic habits! 

Pump up song? Anything 90's pop — Backstreet Boys, Brittany Spears, you get the gist! 

Any final words or thoughts? The LAB has been such a positive for me! I'm SO grateful for the workouts, the community, the accountability, and just the overall impact it's had on me!
