What brought you to enduraLAB? Adam Riedel brought me during Hell Week 🙃
What did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB? Workout Mon-Sat, just weight training, light cardio on the weekends (sometimes). Pretty structured, but I didn’t push myself much.
What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB? I worry less about my weight. I am mentally stronger now. I can tackle other tasks outside the gym because of my new mental strength.
Tell us what you do outside of the LAB? I teach high school band!!! I also travel the world with my boyfriend Skyler (when there isn’t a global pandemic). And I walk the Trinity with my pups.
How have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB? Brag a little. I am so much better at pushing myself. I am so much better at being patient to learn a motion (power cleans and double unders, I’m looking at you).
What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months? Keep burning the belly fat (diet needs a bit of work). I try not to set weight goals, but I want to break:
What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program? 5:00am class, and it’s not even close. Us early birds are always out there getting the worm and having a good time doing it. Honestly, the 5:00am crew is super special to me.
What advice would you have for a new person starting at enduraLAB? Be patient. Have no ego about the weight you’re lifting, you’ll have plenty of time to worry about that later. Develop the mental strength and proper form first.
Favorite cheat meal/restaurant in D/FW?
Old Fashioned from Blackland
Pizza and wings while watching the Mav’s with Adam
An extra scoop of rice with Skyler’s dinners
Current read / podcast? Breath. This book is a fascinating book about the power of breathing through your nose!!!! How it affects everything from sleep, to athletic performance, to your teeth being aligned correctly!!!
