What brought you to enduraLAB? Well when the pandemic started, I had moved to Fort Worth from Dallas and needed to find a new gym family. As most would know, everything was closed. After the passing of a family member in December, it put into perspective how much I needed to care for my health. So after multiple searches and trial classes around Fort Worth later, I found myself at my new home.

What did your workout routine look like before joining the LAB? Before the LAB it looked like a lot of home workouts, and pre-COVID it was a lot of CrossFit classes.

What healthy changes have you made since joining the LAB? Out of all the healthy changes the best one that I’ve focused on is sleep and recovery. I’m currently working on fixing my eating habits. But I’ve noticed that getting good sleep has helped me get the most out of each day and each workout.

Tell us what you do outside of the LAB? I love spending much of my time outdoors whether it be cycling or the occasional camping trip. If you find me indoors, I tend to like going to museums.

How have you grown as an athlete since joining the LAB? Brag a little. My confidence has certainly grown and that’s a direct result from going to the LAB.

What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months? I’d say the goal is to either complete a sprint triathlon or to complete a half marathon by the end of the year.

What is your favorite enduraLAB event or program? Hell Week!!!

What advice would you have for a new person starting at enduraLAB? Keep coming. Show up once a week or show up 6x. It doesn’t matter how often you come, but keep coming to the gym and the results will eventually show.

Favorite cheat meal/restaurant in D/FW? This one is hard because I got to so many…. But if I had to pick one it would be Gloria’s.

Current read / podcast? I’ve been listening to On Purpose with Jay Shetty pretty often.

Pump up song? Wake Me Up by Avicii

Any final words or thoughts? The words I got are those of Marcus Aurelius, “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive-to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” If I could add to that “to go to the LAB.”
