Meet Coach Lauren
Hometown. Benbrook, Texas.
Degree. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Health.
Occupation. When I'm not coaching and training clients at the LAB, I am an event planner for Reata.
Certifications. Gym Jones L1 and Precision Nutrition L1.
Why fitness and nutrition? I was an avid athlete growing up, and have always enjoyed being physically active. I knew from a young age that health, fitness and nutrition would always be incorporated into my career objectives.
Favorite charity / volunteer organization? I support anything NICU related. Currently I support the amazing efforts at Cook Children's Hospital right here in Fort Worth.
What is your most current binge? There isn't much left on Netflix that I haven't already binged. I'm currently watching Safe, a mini-series by Harlan Coben. I enjoy reading James Patterson, Harlan Coben and all of the Harry Potter series.
Inspiration? I LOVE watching the CrossFit Games. Those athletes are insane and their dedication is unlike anything out there.
How do you keep clients motivated? I enjoy tracking all of our clients progressions and reminding them of their potential, to not get in their own head during a workout, and to continually challenge themselves.
Favorite workout? Least favorite? I love to do a workout that involves any movement I hate: running, burpees or the AirDyne.
What’s your favorite workout song? More Than You Know by Axwell & Ingrosso.
Best restaurant in Fort Worth? I am a foodie, so I love going to and trying new places. I really love Charleston's, Pappasito's or Chuy's, really any mexican food. And everyone knows my affection for a $9.99 steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
Two items on your bucket list? Europe. Anywhere and Everywhere.
